Change Management to Reverse Reducing Profits
Worked with management of publishing company to identify core reasons for losing market share. Raised £2.5m to fund the investment necessary to turn business around. Embedded comprehensive changes to working practices and customer offering, resulting in growth re-starting from re-launch and ongoing increase in market share and profits.
Securing and Growing Profits for eventual sale
Engaged by owners of internet company (ISP) historically making losses. Identified profitable areas of the business and secured £300k funding for growth. Annual turnover grew from £1.6m to £12m (750%) in 3 years with associated profits growing, allowing further investment for future growth and value creation. Business sold for £5m one year later.
Financial Structuring in Preparation for Sale
Engaged by owners of VC-backed software company to review financial structure and establish credible plan to enable business sale. Identified that no further funding was necessary, but priority was to refocus management to improve margins in key areas. Business successfully sold for £12m.
Business rescue and funding
Engaged with owners of motor retail delearship after sustaining significant losses. Identified need for better management development and a plan for refinancing. Obtained £250k funding, implemented management changes and development. Turned £80k loss into £120k profit in one year.
Acquisition and Management Development
Worked with investors to raise £1.5m to buy a company providing sophisticated electrical support to the media sector. Post acquisition worked in the recruitment and development of a new management team taking the company from a turnover of £4m to £8.5m.
Value enhancement with a view to exit
Worked with the owner manager of a facilities management company to increase the turnover from £1.2m to £4m through a programme of acquisitions and management development enabling the owner to exit for a price of £3m+ within a period of 3 years.
Management Development and Value enhancement
Engaged by the owners of a manufacturing company that exports petrochemical equipment internationally with a view to fine tuning management capabilities increasing turnover and efficiency.  Within a period of 2 years the company increased turnover from £2m to £3.5m and profits from £120k to £350k.
